How To Post A Gig On Fiverr In 7 Simple Steps

Fiverr is the best place to monetize your skills, sell your skills, get clients and make money online. But to do that, you need to design so that buyers can see and buy.

How To Post A Gig On Fiverr In 7 Simple Steps

As discussed in previous articles, Gig is an application you use for services sold on Fiverr. While working on Fiverr, you often deal with buyers you have never met before. The only way they can find you and analyze the quality of your work is with the gig you create. That’s why you need to invest good time and effort to get a professional look on Fiverr. In this 4th article in the free Fiverr series, we will discuss how to post a gig on Fiverr using a few simple steps.

7 Steps to Posting a Gig on Fiverr

1. Create a new gig

If you're new to Fiverr and have never created a gig before, the first thing you should do is turn your buyer's account into a sales account. When you sign up for Fiverr, you are a buyer by default. To create a gig, you must first be a seller. We discussed how to do that in a previous article. You can read the article here:

How to Sign up for Fiverr Account and Set up Fiverr Profile

However, if you are already a seller on Fiverr, you can create a gig by going to the Gigs option and clicking the Create New Gig button.

2. Write Gig Overview

The first part is the gig overview. Here you will fill in the following information:

Write the gig title

You must complete the title of the gig in 80 characters. Write a simple, concise, and important topic. Use a few names to describe your gig and stand out among other gigs.

Select the type and subtype

Fiverr will automatically suggest to you some categories and subcategories based on the gig title you write. Select the correct category as well as a subcategory for Gig.

Enter the relevant tags

Tags are the words that buyers usually look for when looking for a particular service. You can only add 5 tags to your gigs. Do some research and add the most commonly used words related to your service here.

Once you have filled in all the sections, click the Save and Continue button to proceed to the next section.

3. Set prices and packages for gigs

The second part of making a gig is pricing. You can offer three different packages with different prices to sell your service to buyers.

Default names for packages:
  • Basic
  • Standard
  • Premium
This area contains the following sections:

If in packages

You can choose your own name to define the package. You do not want to be frustrated if you cannot get the right pitch so invest in a good capo.

In addition, when naming your packages, use eye-catching words that make sense. Make sure the difference between them is clear. You can choose names like bronze, silver, and gold.

Description of packages

Write a brief description of each package. You have a limit of 100 characters here, so be very precise and creative. Try to explain the package offer as much as you can.

Delivery time

Specify a possible delivery time for each package depending on the scope of work. Never set unrealistic dates that are difficult to meet after a buyer buys your gig.

Indicate how often you make changes to the buyer's project. Some sellers offer unlimited revisions to get orders but then get frustrated when buyers ask for a few changes. Therefore, it is not a good idea to make unlimited amendments.

Prices for your packages can range from $ 5 to $ 995. The basic package should have a minimum price, then the standard package, then the premium and not the other way around. As a new seller, you should not set a very high price for your gig. You can change your gig price at any time, so it is always a good idea to set low prices (not low) on your opening days.

My gig extra

Gig Extras are additional functions that you can provide with your package. Fiverr already has a number of additional options for your service that allow you to select the ones you want to add to your packages and price one of them. You can add your own gig extras by clicking the add gig extras link at the bottom of my gig extras.

4. Add gig description and FAQ

After the gig title, the second most important thing in your gig is its description. In this section, we hope to list all the details on your packaging. Add here all the important information that you think buyers need to know about your service. Don't give up anything. Create a very attractive and professional profile that can answer all the questions of the buyers related to your service.

Writing a vague or vague description can lead to negative reviews and buyer dissatisfaction. That’s why it’s important to define every word you write in this section.

The next section of this page asks frequently asked questions. Add general FAQs about your service here. Add the FAQ button and add all the important questions and answers that buyers think they can ask about your gig.

Click the Save and Continue button to proceed.

5. Specify gig requirements

If you have specific requirements to complete your work, you can write them here. You have three choices here:

Free text

A buyer can write their needs in free form.

Multiple answers

You ask a question and the buyer is given multiple choices to choose the one that best suits his needs.

Attached file

If you need specific documents or files to complete your work, you can ask the buyer to attach those files here.

It is up to you to decide if the requirements are mandatory or not. If you want to keep the requirements as an option, you can definitely remove the answer from the check box.

Jump to the next section Save and click Continue.

6. Create an image gallery for Gig

When your gig is shown in the search results, it includes your gig title and gig image. You can add pictures, videos, or PDFs depending on the nature of your service.

Plan the best for your gig. Many buyers buy gigs with attractive pictures or videos. Remember, whatever you add to the image/video / PDF should be relevant to the service you provide. Make sure the content is copyright-free, otherwise your gig will not be approved.

7. Publish the gig

This is the last and easiest step in creating your gig. Click the Publish Gig button, and your gig will go live. If you want to make changes to the gig, you can edit it whenever you want.

Once your gig is published, buyers can buy and order it.

wrap up

This is all about creating a gig on Fiverr using 7 steps. While every part is important when creating a gig, the areas you should never overlook are the gig title, gig description and gig image.
